Baby Group 6 to 24 months

We currently have space for 6 babies comfortably. Infancy is a time of rapid and amazing growth. At Mama Goose, we believe that being responsive and sensitive helps infants establish a warm relationship with their child care teacher. These strong relationships build the foundation for learning and encourage infants to be curious about and explore their environment. Children between the ages of one and two years old learn at a rapid rate. So, as your child grows, the curriculum does too. Two caregivers are assigned to this room.

Group 1 - 2 to 3 years

The toddler classrooms utilize The Creative Curriculum, research-based early child care and education curriculum. At this age, your child is learning at a rapid rate, and as they grow and develop, the teacher adapts the curriculum, as well as the environment to meet both your child’s needs as well as their interests. Each classroom has a lesson plan created weekly, with activities to the needs of the children in the classroom. Each activity on the lesson plan is purposeful and intentionally planned based on the teachers’ observations.

Group 2 - 3 to 4 years

The Program consists of classroom communities of children aged 3- to 4-years-old. It is designed to recognize each child's natural love of order, independent work, concentration, and self-discipline. These characteristics require a carefully prepared environment and teachers who guide the children through exploration and learning. Assistants in each classroom help to ensure guidance through learning activities.

Group 3 - 4 to 5 years

The classes provide experienced-based activities in practical life, language development, sensorial exploration, mathematics, science, geography, physical education, art, and music.

The curriculum equips students with a strong academic foundation while preparing them for continued success as independent, curious learners. The School program is aligned to meet and exceed South African standards. By our unique, personal and very creative nature, our method allows students to engage with abstract concepts from an early age through the manipulation of concrete materials.

Group 4 - 5 to 6 years

GRADE R

We currently follow the " New - All - In -One"  Grade R  program and is in the process of integrating an international accredited curriculum soon. Grade R is a crucial year for laying the foundation for lifelong learning. This program was written by Mart Meij.
Mart Meij was a Foundation Phase teacher and a lecturer at the College of Education in Pretoria (now part of UP). She focuses on compiling textbooks and resources for Foundation Phase learners and teachers. Meij is an Early Childhood Development expert. She is the author and compiler of the New All-In-One and Nuwe Alles-In-Een series.

Our curriculum integrates the three core learning areas – Home Language, Mathematics and Life Skills – to ensure school readiness. We also do Bible Studies as an additional subject.

Our offering enables educators to easily facilitate the learning process by providing complete lesson plans and colourful learning aids. Essentially, it provides the building blocks to develop every young learner’s full potential."
